(Answer) (Category) Home Automation FAQ : (Category) HA Equipment : (Category) Creative Control Concepts/HCS-II : (Category) HCS-II Supervisory Controller :
My header pins are too short to mount my daughterboard. Now What?
The original HCS-II circuit boards were very small & compact boards based on the RTC180 controller manufactured by Micromint. These boards used standard height headers for the expansion bus. However, because of the need for the real-time clock SmartSocket under the RAM chip, daughterboards cannot reach the headers due to the height of the stack.
If you have an RTC180 board and purchased a daughterboard, contact Creative Control Concepts at support@cc-concepts.com to get a pair of header sockets to raise the height of your headers. Just push the sockets down on your existing headers and you'll now have tall enough pins to mount your daughterboard.
