(Answer) (Category) Home Automation FAQ : (Category) HA Equipment : (Category) Creative Control Concepts/HCS-II : (Category) RBUF-Term Relay/Buffered I/O Board :
Can I change the RBUF-Term so inputs and outpus are not inverted?
Yes. The RBUF-Term uses pulled up inputs so it considers a 0V input as a 1 and a +V input (ie pulled up) as a 0. This can be confusing. To change this inverting behavior on an RBUF-Term, replace the 74LS240 ICs with 74HCT244 ICs These ICs are non-inverting and the HCT versions have a much higher current capacity to drive the status LEDs.
