(Answer) (Category) Home Automation FAQ : (Answer) (missing or broken file) : (Category) X-10 Inc. : (Category) MS13A HawkEye/MS14A EagleEye Wireless Motion Detectors :
Will a Hawk/Eagle Eye send a signal when the batteries are running low?
No. The operation may get intermittent and then it will just quit outright.

One idea for areas you KNOW get motion on a regular (say daily) basis is to use your Home Automation system to track the frequency of motion detects. If it doesn't see any from a given Hawk/Eagle Eye within a given time period, send a warning message via TV, LCD, printer, log, whatever, that the detector is probably dead.
