(Answer) (Category) Home Automation FAQ : (Answer) (missing or broken file) : (Category) X-10 Inc. : (Category) MS13A HawkEye/MS14A EagleEye Wireless Motion Detectors :
Can I use a HawkEye outside in a protected area?
Many users have reported on comp.home.automation that they have mounted HawkEyes under eaves and front porch roofs. They've worked well for years by some reports. This is especially true if you live in an area that has low humidity. The EagleEye rubber seals may help prevent high humidity from forming condensation inside on the electronics in high humidity. SO you rmilage may vary. But if you have extra HawkEyes lying around, you can probably get away with putting them outsid eunder shelter where they are not exposed to rain and sun.
