Can I upgrade from XPRESS firmware v2.12?
Can I get an XPress upgrade from 2.12?
Yes you can. You can upgrade to v3.64 by simply ordering a new EPROM. This gets you the latest feature set as of June 2000. However, the v3.x firmware stream has been capped and no new features will be added to it after v3.64 However we will be adding bug fixes as necessary.

We now sell a new CPU upgrade for the HCS-II boards. By replacing the CPU, RAM, and EPROM chips you can increase your HCS performance by 2.5. The latest S180 CPU firmware is v4.01 and includes the same feature set as v3.64. The v4.x firmware running on the new S180 CPU is where all new feature content will be added.

Since we have a new CPU which runs firmware v4.00 and higher, we capped the v3.x stream to streamline support and development.
