(Answer) (Category) Home Automation FAQ : (Category) Home Networking/Ethernet : (Category) Embedded Ethernet Devices : (Category) Dallas Semi TINI Board : (Category) General Interface Issues :
Is there a way to disable the DTR reset feature?
The TINI board uses the DTR line as a master reset. When DTR is asserted, the board is reset. However, normal serial cables and terminal software will hold the board in reset.

However, if you don't connect the DTR line, you can prevent this. The TINI board will keep an unconnected DTR line at the proper voltage to prevent cross-talk, so you can just leave it disconnected. Future TINI Socket boards may have a jumper to allow easy connection and disconnection of the DTR line on the serial port.
