Humidity Control
Most new HVAC systems come with add-on humidifiers which can ensure your home maintains a comfortable level of humidity during the winter. Higher end furnaces with variable speed blowers can also serve as dehumidifiers in the summer. All central air conditioners remove humidity from the air, but furnaces with embedded controllers and variable speed blowers can increase the dehumidification capability of the system. Some even allow for the connection of an external humidistat so that dehumidification blower speeds can be used for longer periods of time during cooling.
