| How to control temperaures in different areas.
I have a two story house with bedrooms downstairs and the family room and wood stove upstairs. I am trying to find out the best way to control the temperature downstairs during the winters. On cold nights I fire up a wood stove which keeps the upstairs a cozy 74 degrees, but when we go to bed the rooms downs stairs are cold. The thermostat and the intake are upstairs, so the only way to get the heat on is to raise the thermostat above the room temperature. I had two thoughts. One was to wire two thermostats (one upstairs and one down stairs) to the same furnace. (Is this possible?) Or install a thermostat with a remote sensor. It seems like all the ones with remote sensors are very pricy. Any thoughts?
