(Answer) (Category) Home Automation FAQ : (Category) HA Equipment : (Category) Creative Control Concepts/HCS-II : (Category) Caller ID Support :
How does the HCS-II indicate 'Private/Blocked' and 'Out of Area'?
When a private message is received, the HCS-II will set the area code, exchange, and phone number to all 9's (999-999-9999)

If an Out-of-Area message is received, the area code, exchange, and number will be set to all 0's (000-000-0000)

Starting with v3.64 & v4.01 firmware, there are string flags for caller ID name and number support as well. %N will contain the strings "OUT OF AREA" and "PRIVATE" when the appropriate data arrives. %M will contain the usuall 000-000-0000 and 999-999-9999
