(Answer) (Category) Home Automation FAQ : (Category) HA Equipment : (Category) Creative Control Concepts/HCS-II : (Category) HCS-DTMF Telephone Interface :
When I call the HCS-II, can it talk to me?
Combined with an HCS-Voice board, the HCS-DTMF board can accept the HCS-Voice's audio out and feed it into the phone line. This allows the HCS-II to speak when you call it. You can easily create voice prompted menus where the HCS-II responds based on what button you press.

Using DTMF tone receive commands and the SAY command you can 'SAY' anything based on the received tone. You can also use the SAYW command to pause processing until the text is spoken.
